Cote de Nuits

This northern portion of the Cote D’or is named after the city of Nuits Saint Georges. This is the origin of some of the finest, most generous red burgundies. The different villages that make up the Cote de Nuits create great varieties of styles that range from soft and rich wines in the south to more tannic wines with more structure in the north. Wines from the Cote de Nuits tend to be full-bodied and firm with flavors of red and black fruit and licorice.

The Prosper Maufoux wines from this region include the following: (click here to view a map)
